Time for a quick update from the last three months:
And we temporarily escaped hell on earth for the next three weeks and as celebration we took a mini-vacation to Park City.
The trip was also celebration for Jason's 23rd birthday! Geez he's so old. But I thought I'd take a sec to tell everyone 23 things I love about him/things I love doing with him. It's going to be really cheesy, and no. I'm not sorry.
1. Jason is kind to everyone.
2. He loves his family and is always willing to help them out or spend time with them.
3. He loves my family--last year before he'd even met them he memorized all my siblings' names so
he'd know them when we went to see them.
4. He's patient with me.
5. He's a hard worker.
6. He loves camping and fishing (actually not something I love about him) and being outside.
Spending a night in the mountains and hiking and enjoying God's creations is one of our favorite things to do together, in the summertime at least. He hasn't convinced me yet to go on a winter trip.
7. He's on his third semester of college even though he hates school.
8. I love his smile
9. Also his eyes are dreamy. (Zoom in on any picture for evidence of this, or you can just take my word for it.)
10. He makes me talk to him about the hard stuff, even--no especially--when I don't want to.
11. He holds me when I cry and tells me everything is okay, even when I have no idea what I'm crying about.
12. He offers to give me blessings when I need them. I love that he honors his priesthood and uses it to bless others. Not just me, but his other friends and family too.
13. He's so patient and fun with our primary kids, even the rambunctious one that will never sit still and answers every question with either "Bob" or "bologna".
14. Jason loves kids.
15. He loves cuddling with me and watching movies or TV shows.
16. He doesn't judge me for how much junk food I eat, probably because he eats more than I do.
17. But it's okay because occasionally he'll come run with me or I'll play basketball with him and sometimes he lets me win.
18. Sometimes in the middle of the day he'll turn his music up super loud and have a dance party by himself in the kitchen and it's super funny.
19. He's the biggest goofball I know.
20. Jason spends a good part of every day making obnoxious noises to see which ones are his favorite. I think it's hilarious except that it's also part of his going to sleep routine. We're working on finding another routine that allows both of us to sleep.
21. He loves the gospel, so much that he spent two years of his life sharing it with the people of Hawaii. His mission makes up so much of who he is now. I never put "returned missionary" on the list of qualities my husband had to have, but I doubt I would have married Jason if he hadn't served his because it made him who he is today.
22. He loves being a handyman and fixing things or finding projects to do around the house.
23. He's fun but he can also be serious when we're talking about important things and I appreciate that about him.
In conclusion, marriage is a blast and Jason is the cutest. I love him. A lot.
- We moved to Sandy to live with my 90 year old great grandparents
- My chin got into a nasty fight with the church parking lot
- College revealed it's true identity as hell on earth
| You'd never guess that this is where the devil lives, would you |
